This film is not supposed to show some kind of healing, nor any dramatic scenes of forgiveness. It shows the cycle of hurt and consolation that we experience in our daily lives. Therefore, I would ask of the audience to be perfect observers, so that they can see how Emilia's regular, mundane life disguises a 'tragedy', and consider the chances of recovering an 'ordinary life'. At this point, I believe that hand-held long-take shots- consisting of the collision between fiction and non-fiction- efficiently underline the importance of the process, instead of hurriedly revealing the consequences of past actions.—Ungyu Yeo

In Happy New Year, Jinjoon Lee juxtaposes the joy of New Year celebrations with the harsh realities of war and disasters. Combining digital utopias with classical art forms, the installation calls for reflection on the tension between illusion, apathy and our shared reality. 　　Jinjoon Lee’s Happy New Year is an interactive art installation that juxtaposes the festive beginning of a new year with the harsh realities of war, disasters and climate crises. Using a game engine, Lee creates a seemingly utopian landscape, reminiscent of the positive worlds created by artificial intelligence. These serene images show how technology can blind us to urgent and uncomfortable truths, alienating us from current tragedies. 　　Lee combines contemporary technology with traditional art forms such as Korean Chaekgeori (still life paintings of books and objects), Western ‘wonder rooms’ and the Buddhist Wheel of Reincarnation, where heaven and hell and life and death constantly alternate. These references give this fictional world deeper meaning, one in which beauty and decay go hand in hand. With Happy New Year, Lee invites us to reflect on the contradictions of our existence: the longing for utopias versus harsh reality, and the apathy that arises when we ignore that reality.

Before work, a young man waits at a woman′s home, reading. She shares a memory triggered by the very book he is holding, intertwining childhood and adolescence, blurring the contours of past and present.

New York is finally ready to tackle her lifelong dream: superstardom. Don't get it wrong - New York is already a star but she wants to be on the A-list - as a legit actress. In order to focus on her new mission, New York has to put her last conquest, Tailor Made, on the backburner as she tries to take on Tinsel Town. She's moving out west to see if she can climb the Hollywood ladder. Question is, will she reach for the stars or fall flat on her face?

Set in LA, a group of people go around pranking people using crazy situations.
